We met Randy and Kathy at Starbucks in Colorado Springs.

This is just a part of their story…

It’s always an awkward introduction, “Hi! My name is Teri. I know this sounds a little crazy, but I felt led to come over and see how I could pray for you,”  Please don’t think I’m too much of a psycho! 

Randy said, “Well, I was just talking to my wife about it. I have this passion that keeps coming up in my heart, but I’m not sure what to do with it. I think God is trying to tell me something about our next steps. I just don’t know what that means. “

Little did he know I’m a Kingdom dream coach.

Randy has been a pilot nearly all of his adult life. He flew on 9/11. He knows flying. “I’m not a business man or an accountant or a pastor. I fly airplanes. But, I know God can still do something through that.”

He has this passion to teach men about their walk with Christ using concepts about flying; flight plans, auto-pilot, pre-flight checks, and such. He has a heart to see Christian men becoming alive to calling, growing deeper in their relationship with Christ, and be strengthened as the “pilot” of their families.

“I good approach just doesn’t happen. Men need to know it takes hard work and lots of flight corrections to land smoothly.”

Randy and his lovely wife Kathy have been married for 27 years. They’ve been through all the ups and downs of persevering in a lasting relationship.

Kathy’s passion is to help others achieve health and wellness.

Their youngest son will be graduating soon. They are entering in a new season of their lives. And they are feeling a tug on their hearts for more.

More of Christ. More for the Kingdom. And more for the Body of Christ.

They make a pretty dynamic duo.

Randy shared several stories about how God is moving them to think bigger.

First he shared a story about an evening in Japan. He was about ready to go out with his buddies for dinner as they usually did. But, he felt a leading to stay at the hotel instead. He wasn’t sure why, but he stayed.

Randy went to the hotel restaurant which was about to close down. It was empty, at least he thought it was.

He sat down and immediately heard a man weeping. He looked around a pillar and saw an Asian man sitting at another table weeping loudly.

Randy thought, “Oh dear. Lord is this why you wanted me here? But, I have no idea what to do. I’m not going to go over there – no way. But, I will pray for him.” So Randy dropped his head and started praying silently for this man. The man’s head whipped up and looked straight at Randy.

Okay….

Randy made a deal with God, “If you want me to talk with this guy, then you will have him get up and come over and sit in this chair. Not that chair, but this chair right here.” Then Randy sat back and waited.

Sure enough this man came over and sat in that chair. And blew Randy’s mind.

The man didn’t speak much English, but they were able to speak the language of brother’s in Christ. The man asked Randy to pray for him. And Randy did. They shared Jesus even though they couldn’t share words. Randy said that this man just glowed with peace afterward.

Later, Randy’s friend called him. She said that she had been given insight about the meeting in the hotel restaurant. She was able to describe the exact scene in detail as if she had been there. God had told her this man was a Korean pastor who was about to give up on his Kingdom dream and had been praying for a sign. Randy was sent to pray with him.

After that, Randy and Kathy knew God could and would use them
in magnificent ways if only they were willing.
They are very willing.

We swapped contact info after two hours of conversation, sharing stories, praising God, and praying for next steps in their dreaming journey. We left encouraged and inspired and committed to see God’s Kingdom dreams come alive on earth.

The Dream Tour keeps running into dreamer after dreamer who are in transition and are wanting more.

You can be a pilot, a teacher, a stay-at-home mom and wife, an accountant, in business, in justice, in politics, in maintenance, in construction, in missions…God is big enough to use you wherever, whenever, and however to bring salvation, redemption, and beauty to earth as it is in Heaven.

God is stirring up the Body of Christ with passions and dreams in every part of the world.
